Anna Hazare completes the fast
Gandhian Anna Hazare has called off his hunger strike bringing to an end his 98-hour protest, according to a report.
A joint committee of ministers and civil society leaders will draft an anti-graft legislation.
“It is a victory of the democracy,” Human resources development minister Kapil Sibal said.
The Government and the civil society have agreed that the drafting of the Lokpal Bill would be completed before June 30, 2011, said Sibal.
Earlier, Hazare offered water to some women, among the over 300 activists who had joined the fast, says report.
Hazare had been on hunger strike since Tuesday near Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
